How do I order a refill?

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy will contact you by text or phone before you run out of medicine. For some medications, you may also be able to use our 2 Click digital option.

Will my refills be automatically sent to me?

No. Specialty medications cannot be auto refilled like regular prescriptions. You can speak with a representative or use our 2 Click refill app, if eligible.

What happens if my prescription can’t be filled?

If BioPlus cannot fill your prescription, we will help find a pharmacy that can. If you are a new patient, we’ll contact your doctor’s office with the pharmacy’s name and phone number. If you are an existing patient, we’ll call you with that information.

What conditions does Paragon treat?

Paragon helps people with many long-term and complex health conditions. These include autoimmune, gastrointestinal, lung, neurologic, rheumatology, and skin conditions, bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, and conditions that need intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) or other special therapies.

Will Paragon help me understand my insurance coverage and costs?

Yes. Paragon can help you understand your benefits, insurance coverage, and possible costs. The team can also help with preapprovals, manufacturer copay programs, and other steps before your care begins.

What happens after my doctor refers me to Paragon?

After your doctor sends a referral, a Paragon team member will call you. They will help review your benefits and coverage, schedule your treatment, and answer your questions. Paragon also works with your doctor’s office to help your therapy start as smoothly and quickly as possible.

What can I expect at a community infusion center?

Paragon community infusion centers are designed to be a comfortable option outside of a hospital. They may also have shorter wait times. You’ll receive care from experienced registered nurses and nurse practitioners who are trained in infusion therapy. Their goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during your treatment.

How can I transfer a prescription to CarelonRx Pharmacy?

On your health plan’s website: Start by selecting the prescription you'd like CarelonRx Pharmacy to fill. Then select Start Transfer. We will contact your doctor to request a new, 90-day prescription.

On the Sydney^® Health app: Go to Pharmacy > Menu > View Prescriptions and select the prescriptions to transfer. We will contact your doctor to order a new, 90-day prescription.
